With a modernauthorize account, you can be as creative as you like with your pricing. Due to limitations described in Recurring Billing, third-party gateways will not allow for flexible pricing models. Since subscription billing only allows for the future payment of a sum certain, you cannot implement some of the more popular marketing strategies used in the webhosting market. For instance, coupons are useless on a subscription billing. Your customer can only be charged what they agreed to and you cannot give them that first month at half price.

Modernbill has several great features that will be worthless on a subscription system. Our new bandwidth billing feature allows hosts to bill for the overages used by your customers. This can't be billed on a subscription billing model. There also is an a la carte feature that will allow your customers to easily select addons and upgrades that will not be supportable under a subscription billing system. Don't limit your marketing options because of your merchant account processor.
